Just a Thought

There are too many things to do in day to day life that requires commitment, dedication and follow through. That said, for every accomplishment there is usually a reward. The reward would be good health, good friends and a feeling of pride for those things one is able to accomplish. During this time of the year we are reminded to buy, buy and buy. It seems our society has accepted that giving requires one to buy gifts for those we love, those we like and even those that we don’t know but are less fortunate.
As Christmas approaches too fast, I am reminded that friends and family are what makes Christmas. It is not the gift giving but the sharing of time and being with the people we care for and are committed to.
As for those that are less fortunate, the time that many of us give, in the name of volunteering and giving back, is always welcomed by those who are often too proud to ask for help and have found themselves with too many challenges to make life work for them.
So I ask all of you to enjoy your family and friends. Take time to remember those that need some extra help and don’t worry about buying but do give some of your time to make life better for someone in need but too proud to mention it.
Merry Christmas.
